OCUMARE DE LA COSTA DE ORO |
El
municipio Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, pertenece al estado Aragua, y se
divide por el Norte con el Mar Caribe, desde Punta Cambiadores hasta Punta
Mosquito y por el Sur, con el estado Carabobo y
el municipio Mario Briceño Iragorry,
siguiendo la estación Biológica Rancho Grande. Por el Este, limita con
la parroquia Choroní, desde Punta Mosquito prosiguiendo por la fila Tahona; y
por el Oeste con el estado Carabobo, desde el Pico Jengibre hasta llegar a
Punta Cambiadores.
El municipio Ocumare de la Costa de Oro
engloba playas y balnearios aptos para cualquier época del año se deriva en el
estado Aragua a tan sólo 
Ocumare de la Costa de Oro,
también es un lugar apto para la producción pecuaria, debido a que sus terrenos
están capacitados para la cría de ganado equino, porcino, bovino y de las aves;
sin olvidar que la pesca es uno de los principales y más importantes factores
de desarrollo económico de la región.
Por otra
parte, la cordialidad y el tradicionalismo que caracteriza a los habitantes de
esta zona, se refleja en la cultura manifestada en sus múltiples festividades
que atraen a todo aquel que se preste a conocer la magia de esta localidad
caribeña.
Por tal motivo, el municipio Ocumare de la Costa de
Oro, es ideal para el desarrollo turístico, y a su vez, para el total

The
municipality Ocumare of Costa of Gold,
belongs to the state Aragua, and it is divided by
the North with Caribbean Sea, from Tip Money
changers until Tip Mosquito and for the South,
with the state Carabobo and the municipality
Mario Briceño Iragorry, following the station Big
Biological Ranch. For the East, it limits with
the parish Choroní, from Tip Mosquito continuing
for the line Tahona; and for the West with the
state Car
abobo, from the Pick Ginger until
arriving to Punta Cambiadores.
The municipality Ocumare of Costa of Gold
includes beaches and capable spas for any time of
the year he/she is derived in the state Aragua to
only 43 kilometers of its capital (Maracay),
which is conformed by the picturesque towns of
Ocumare of Costa, Cata, Cuyagua, Independence or
Playón, Cumboto and Turiamo. These are some of
the reasons to undertake the beautiful adventure
of knowing this paradisiac region, since it also
has an agricultural wealth constituted by the
fertile siembras of corn, caraotas, bananas, yams;
as well as the production of starch, casabe and
gathering of coconuts, standing out the coffee
and the cocoa with an export character.
Ocumare of Costa of Gold, is also a
capable place for the cattle production, because
its lands are enabled for the breeding of equine,
swinish, bovine livestock and of the birds;
without forgetting that the fishing is one of the
main and more important factors of economic
development of the region.
On the other hand, the cordiality and the
traditionalism that it characterizes the
inhabitants of this area, are reflected in the

El Malecón de Ocumare,
es una obra de gran significación. Inaugurado en 1973, donde existe una muralla
de piedras que fue colocada en dicha playa para los efectos de un rompeolas,
convirtiéndola en una especie de gran piscina natural o bahía donde todos se
deleitan con satisfacción.
Bahía de Cata, es
una de las
playas más bellas de
Venezuela, de gran extensión, finísima
arena y aguas cristalinas. Cuenta
con un conjunto
residencial con vista
al mar, cabañas y
restaurantes, ubicada en el área de Cata, a
58 Km. de Maracay
por la carretera de El Limón.
Cuyagua, se
caracteriza por Playas hermosas. Dueña
de un panorama natural del
caserío, que data
de la época de la colonia, aves exuberantes y un río de
poca profundidad, son
los atractivos de esta
localidad. La playa de
Cuyagua es considerada
uno de los
mejores lugares para
la práctica del surfing en Venezuela.
Cumboto, capital del caserío Guevara, es un lugar histórico por excelencia a orillas del río de su mismo nombre, y el río “Chocolmao”, rodeado de parcelamientos de plátano y cacao, como principal modo de subsistencia, pero alejado del mar, prestándose para que el turista encuentre un ambiente diferente y lo disfrute haciendo su pic-nic junto a familiares y amigos, o en la Finca Anti estrés, pasando momentos inolvidables.
